About John

John Prajzner brings a diverse and robust career history to his candidacy for Lorain County Treasurer, showcasing his extensive experience across various sectors. Currently, he serves as an Administrative Assistant to the Recorder of Lorain County Mike Doran. In this capacity, John has been instrumental in managing administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the office, and providing exceptional service to the public.​​

Prior to his current role, John was a canvasser for Americans for Prosperity - Ohio, where he engaged with the community to promote economic freedom and prosperity. His dedication to public service is further highlighted by his long tenure as a clerk at the Lorain County Board of Elections. During this time, John gained invaluable experience in the electoral process, contributing to the integrity and efficiency of local elections.

John's career also includes significant experience in real estate and finance. As a Realtor Sales Associate at Coldwell Banker Hunter Realty in North Ridgeville, he developed strong negotiation and customer service skills. Earlier, he worked as a Research Analyst and Associate Trader at Victory Capital Management and at Key Asset Management. These roles involved conducting detailed financial research and trading, providing John with a deep understanding of financial markets and investment strategies which is vital to understand making investments of behalf of the county as the Treasurer does

John's financial expertise is further backed by his experience as a Credit Assistant at KeyBank, where he supported credit operations and risk assessment. Before that, he started his banking career as a Mail Processing Clerk at Toledo Trust Bank.​ Beyond finance and real estate, John has also worked in media and entertainment. He was a Studio Technician at Cedar Point, where he gained technical and operational skills in a dynamic environment.

John's commitment to service is underscored by his military background. He served as a Lance Corporal (E-3) in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed leadership and a strong sense of duty.​ John has also been active in local politics and community organizations. He ran for Auditor of Lorain County in 2002 and for city council in 1999, 2001, and 2003. He served as the Treasurer of the North Ridgeville Republican Club for 17 years and as its President and Vice President for one year. Additionally, John is the Commander of the American Legion Post 717, further demonstrating his leadership and dedication to his community.

John Prajzner has lived in North Ridgeville for the past 27 years, deeply rooting himself in the community he aims to serve as Treasurer. His extensive and varied career, combined with his dedication to public service, makes him a highly experienced and well-rounded candidate for Lorain County Treasurer.
